Urenco nurtures an interest in STEM subjects through Richie school workshops
In June 2017, Urenco ran Richie workshops at primary schools, local to its Head Office in Stoke Poges, inspiring school children to develop an interest in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
Since 2007, Urenco has delivered these workshops to more than 100,000 students worldwide as part of its outreach education programme.
The workshops, which are offered free to schools, teach children about energy and the importance of protecting our planet for future generations through engaging hands-on experiments.
More than 300 students took part in the recent Richie workshops and feedback was very positive:
- “Engaging from the beginning”
- “Highlights the importance of looking after the environment”
- “Very practical – brilliant”
- “Informative and entertaining”
